The English Squad update: Quansah ruled out
Jarell Quansah will be absent from the English team's FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Latvia due to a physical issue and the defender – who did not play in England's three-nil friendly victory over Wales at Wembley Stadium – will head back to his club the Bundesliga club.
The former Liverpool defender has been a key player in Leverkusen's defence this season but the national squad said no additional squad replacements were scheduled for the qualifier in Riga on Tuesday.
The English side could qualify for the upcoming World Cup with two matches to remaining if they beat Latvia on Tuesday and results in other matches in Group K go their way.
